Network Design

Network design is a vast process of creating a plan on how different devices, hardware components, and software will be interconnected to build a communication infrastructure. A well-designed network can offer you efficient data transmission and higher reliability to meet future growth. Network design involves evaluating, understanding, and scoping the network so that you can implement this. The entire network design represents a network diagram that serves as a blueprint for implementing the network physically. Network design consists of the following.

Types of computer network design

Types of Computer networks depend on capacity, authorization, structure, technology, and, finally, organizational purpose.

Types of networks are,

What is the importance of Network Design?

The first step of network design is to fulfil the requirements of the business or the organization. It includes the understanding of the user numbers, the application type that is being used, and the data amount that is transmitted, and, of course, the user location. Keeping all these requirements in mind, the skilled network designer develops a high-level architecture for the network.

A good network design will allow better performance, and a good network can work quickly and more efficiently. This will provide you with the best platform for all those applications that you want to use. If the response time is delayed, then the work which the employees want to complete will be affected. This is one of the reasons why network design is important.

We, Pro InfraTek, is the one skilled and professional service provider that will meet up your need. We will provide and propose network solutions against challenges, and at the same time, you can improve the usability. We will evaluate any risk before proceeding with the design and installation. Our team will also maximize the performance We provide a dedicated team of skilled experts to plan and implement every project. Our experts are skilled and have vast experience working experience with network design, integration, and deployment.

As our prior project, we worked with New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTACC) in their East Side Access Project with designing the core network which is referred as Backbone Communication System. We designed and implemented MPLS core architecture, QoS framework, traffic isolation using VRF/VPN and many more in the core network We, Pro InfraTek, have been proudly the network integrator for New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTACC)

BCS is a complex heterogenous network that provides transport services to a multitude of systems/applications that require reliable, resilient, quality of service guarantees for end user data. In networking terms, it is a Service Provider network that is integrated with existing LIRR communication systems.

As the network Integrator, within the scope of the project, we have delivered the ESA Backbone communication System or the BCS network along with distribution networks Like Grand Central Terminal, Power SCADA, Tunnel SCADA system, CCTV that are external interfaces to the BCS that provide communication interfaces to the ESA systems.

The backbone network is the transport over which all ESA systems communications takes place. BCS is designed within the MPLS framework for L3VPN and L2VPN services that provide end to end communication services to customer traffic distributed across the ESA tunnels and GCT facilities. The main backbone network uses carrier grade ASR 9010 (6) & ASR 903 (16) devices in the MPLS core. In addition to the BCS, we have delivered other components of the ESA networks including CCTV/Security Network, Tunnel Ventilation and Facility Power (SCADA) network, Telephone System and Control Centre (NOC) networks.

In addition to BCS, we were responsible to build security network architecture and telephone system architecture together represented as Communications. Our sole responsibility was to achieve end to end communication with the networks we engineered and integrated to BCS which facilitates redundancy and no loss of communication.

We implemented East side Access Telephone System to provide voice telephony services in Grand Central Terminal (GCT) tunnels and all designated ESA facilities. We designed and implemented the telephone system including the PBX, subscriber endpoints (analog & IP telephone instrument sets), VCS, Analog Telephone VOIP Gateway, interface to Public Telephone network and interface to existing LIRR telephone system via FON connection from ESA BCS.The ESA Telephone Systems employ a combination of various analog and VOIP access trunk interface modules to connect telephone instruments to the designated PBX head-ends.

The Security system is designed to remotely monitor and control CCTV cameras, Video surveillance Management (VSM) system including Network Video Recorders (NVR), Video Analytics Systems and security devices including emergency egress doors, door locks, door contacts, motion sensors, magnetic or proximity card readers, keypads, and alarms, that interface to Security System Control Panels (SSCP) and other intelligent system controllers (ISC), within the ESA areas of Grand Central Terminal (GCT) and within the tunnels.

The system shall provide video capturing, viewing, recording, archiving, control, and management using network switches/routers to enable transmission and distribution of video and data. The CCTV system and all access control and intrusion detection devices shall integrate to the existing LIRR Electronic Security System.
